rabbittransit and RRTA are working together to plan a better transit connection between York and Lancaster. We need your help to decide when, where, and how the connection should work!
Go to www.BusSurvey.com to fill out a short survey about your commute. The survey is anonymous and will ask you about:
• Where you need the bus to go so it’s easy to get to work
• When you need the bus to run so you can make it to work on time
• Your feelings about an express bus service in the future
The survey will run from July 30 through August 30 and is open to residents in York and Lancaster counties.

Dump the Pump was held Thursday, June 19, 2014. RRTA joined other transit systems nationwide to encourage everyone to take transit to save money, conserve gasoline and help reduce greenhouse gases. The day was sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).

The Red Rose Transit Authority Board announced approved changes to the shared-ride, paratransit fares at its May 21, 2014 Board Meeting. All approved changes to fares would take effect July 1, 2014. Click here for the fare info.

Lots of Lancaster County communities will hold special events over the summer that will close streets and require RRTA to detour bus routes. RRTA posts detour information on our website on Detours & Rider Alerts Page and on our message board at the Information Center waiting area. RRTA also prints Rider Alert brochures if the event is large and involves all the bus routes. Customers are encouraged to watch for detour postings as the summer special events season kicks into high gear!

RRTA is updating its Transit Development Plan (TDP) to include an analysis of existing demographic conditions and transit services and the identification of potential schedule and route changes to improve ridership and address public transportation needs in Lancaster County. Technical Memorandum #2 was recently prepared and released as part of this update. Technical Memorandum #2 outlines future service alternatives and a fare structure analysis. Date added: 05/02/2013 Bike Lockers Available at Queen Street Station
RRTA now has bike lockers at Queen Street Station. The bike lockers offer customers a secure, dry, storage area for bicycles and bicycle equipment. The lockers are located at Queen Street Station near the Route 20/Greenfield bus stop underneath the parking garage building.
An agreement must be signed to use the lockers. The lockers are first come, first serve.

• A $25 security deposit is required. There is no charge or rental fee for the locker.
• A Photo ID is required
• Proof of Purchase of an RRTA 31 Day Pass

The purpose of the Regional Transit Coordination Study (RTCS) is to investigate the need to coordinate transit services provided by different transit agencies in the nine-county region covered by Commuter Services of Pennsylvania. The study is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) through the Berks Area Regional Transit Authority (BARTA) and the nine participating counties: Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York.
