RRTA Moves to Saturday Schedule effective Monday, March 30, 2020
Red Rose Transit bus service is now operating on a Saturday Schedule as of Monday, March 30, 2020. Until further notice, all bus routes operating Monday through Saturday will follow the normal Saturday schedules.
Route 6/Downtown Loop (formerly the Trolley route) will not operate.
Route 12/New Holland: Normally the Route 12 does not serve Tyson Foods on Saturdays. The 6:15 AM Outbound, 2:55 PM Inbound and the 6:00 PM Inbound trips will serve Tyson Foods.
The Route 17/Columbia: Normally the Route 17 does not travel into the Hempfield Industrial Park on Saturdays. Now, Hempfield Industrial Park will be served on the Outbound Route 17, at 6:15 AM and 2:55 PM, from Queen Street Station. Route 17 will also serve the Industrial Park Inbound on the 2:40 PM and 4:25 PM trips.
The Route 18/E-Town: Normally the Route 18 does not serve Nordstrom on Saturdays. Now, both the 6:30 AM and the 1:10 PM trips will serve Nordstrom. RRTA will also add at 5:20 PM trip but will not serve Nordstrom on this trip.Route 18 modified schedule 3-30-2020
The Route 20/Greenfield: will operate 5 trips starting Monday, March 30th. Route 20 will operate a 5:20 AM, 6:30 AM, 7:15 AM, 3:15 PM and 4:15 PM leaving from Queen Street Station. Route 20 Modified Schedule 3-30-2020
RRTA will continue to operate the normal Sunday schedule on Sundays.
Starting the week of March 30, 2020, RRTA’s Queen Street Station sales area will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The sales area will continue to be open normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Queen Street Station Public Restrooms will remain closed until further notice. RRTA requests customers practice “social distancing” while waiting for their bus routes.
RRTA continues, if able, a “Rear Door Entry Policy” for all routes. All customers must board the bus from the rear door to help with social distancing from the driver. If any customer does need assistance and needs to use the front door they will be allowed. Please ask the driver to activate the kneeler. Also, RRTA continues to not collect fares. Free fares began Monday, March 23rd and will continue until further notice.
Due to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution for RRTA employees and the general public, RRTA requests that riders limit non-essential bus travel until further notice.
