Changes to the Senior Citizen Free Ride Program
As of July 1, 2018, Senior Citizens will no longer be able to use the Medicare Card as an acceptable form of identification to receive the FREE ride as part of the Senior Free Transit Program.
The only acceptable ID will be the PA Senior Citizen Transit ID Cards (yellow and blue cards) issued by any PA Transit Authority.
Senior Citizen Customers need to have a PA Senior Transit ID card to ride free. Click here to print out the application. Or visit RRTA offices to fill one out. Seniors must be 65 or older to ride FREE.
